I’m Evelyn the creative heart behind In Life & In Death Co.
My journey in the wedding world began over ten years ago in California, where I was born and raised, and where I first got a taste for working at events. At the age of 21, I moved away to Connecticut for 11 years, where I deepened my love for weddings. I continued to work as a banquet server and later became a lead bridal attendant. Eventually, I coordinated weddings, learning every detail along the way. What began as a job turned into a calling, as I realized I wasn’t just helping events go well — I was witnessing love in its purest form. I knew I wanted to be part of that magic in my own way.
So I built this company not just as a service, but as a creative refuge for the wildly in love – for the couples who want a wedding that feels honest, intentional, and unforgettable.
As a wedding planner, I thrive in the details. I’m visually driven, and deeply intuitive about what my couples need – even if they haven’t said it out loud. I live for the challenge of transforming daydreams into living, breathing celebrations that mirror the love you share. From timeline logistics to moody floral installs, from ceremony choreography to the quiet moments in between – I hold space for it all, because every piece matters.
Outside of weddings, I enjoy writing and reading poetry, sketching and painting when words fall short, and finding inspiration in nature, where grounding becomes a part of my creative process. You’ll also find me rock climbing, dancing like no one’s watching, and spending time with my tiny zoo of three furry and one feathery companions. They are my home, my joy, and my grounding force. I love them – truly – to death.
